High-tech facade of the new Croatia osiguranje office building

The facade of the new office building of the Croatia osiguranje insurance company is described, and a special emphasis is placed on innovative design solutions and on the way they were implemented in practice. A complex facade system enabling an optimum protection of the building against weather conditions is presented in the paper. In conclusion, the authors point out that the technological solution used for this facade may be compared to best ones currently available on the European level, and that the higher initial price of the system will be compensated by energy savings to be realized during the use of the building.
